We would have liked the abilities to play in full-screen mode and to assign keys, but for a free game, these shortcomings are easy to overlook. If you're captured, the bad guy (a French chef, appropriately) wins. Aside from that small bother, the game is fairly simple: You use the arrow keys to bounce your frog around on platforms and collect flies and other bonus items without being captured in stationary nets. Users who do not know this shortcut will probably think something is wrong, so we wished the developer had included some kind of note. However, we easily remedied this by using the Shift key to make selections. After a quick launch, we immediately ran into a problem wherein we couldn't select items in the main menu. You must use CNET's download manager to obtain Leap Frog, but since the file is small anyway, the download speed likely will not be an issue. This simple arcade game provides some fun and a bit of challenge but could be better with a few improvements.
